Pre- and Post-Show Logistics Typically Include:

pre-show

Staging for new builds, rentals, and major overhauls. Before a new exhibit or a significantly updated configuration debuts at a show for the first time, Downing Displays stages and reviews it at the warehouse. For client-owned properties cycling in and out of regular shows, staging is scheduled according to the program.

Shipping confirmation and coordination. Every outbound shipment is confirmed and tracked. Downing Displays verifies that what needs to go is on the truck, routed correctly, and scheduled to arrive within the show’s advance receiving window.

Pre-shipment inventory review. Before anything leaves the warehouse, the exhibit and all associated materials are checked against the inventory record. What is supposed to ship, ships. What is missing is identified before the truck leaves, not after it arrives.

post-show

Pull-and-check inspection. When the exhibit returns from a show, Downing Displays pulls everything out and checks it against the inventory. Every component is accounted for. Nothing goes back into storage unexamined.

Damage assessment and repair coordination. Any damage identified during the pull-and-check is assessed and addressed. For exhibits that go out frequently, repairs are made immediately. For exhibits with a longer window before the next show, repairs are scheduled and documented so nothing is forgotten.

Refurbishment. Beyond damage repair, Downing Displays assesses wear and refurbishment needs after each show, whether that means replacing graphics, refreshing finishes, or preparing components that have seen heavy use.
