Vendor sourcing and ordering
Covering all show services: carpet and flooring, furniture, electrical, audio-visual, Wi-Fi, cleaning, floral, and catering. Two categories require GC use regardless of show or venue — electrical and rigging for hanging signs above the booth. Everything else is fair game. Flooring, I&D labor, Wi-Fi, and furniture can all be sourced independently through a vetted network of partners. Downing Displays regularly delivers better quality at lower cost than the GC alternative on non-exclusive services. In one documented Las Vegas program, that difference came to $15,000–$20,000 per show. Either way, every order is placed directly by Downing Displays, which means the authority to follow up, escalate, and resolve issues remains with the team that placed it.
installation and dismantle (I&D)
Coordinated through Sho-Link Labor, the only I&D cooperative in the trade show industry, operating across 200+ U.S. cities. That network gives Downing Displays access to vetted labor in every major show market, with the standing and accountability that comes from a long-term cooperative relationship rather than one-off contractor arrangements.
